Virtual Autism Conference

The Autism Societies of Greater Wisconsin and Minnesota are pleased to announce a second year of partnership in combining both the Wisconsin and Minnesota annual state autism conferences to a virtual event in 2021. The virtual conference, “Inform, Influence, Innovate Together,” will be held online April 21-24, 2021, and will feature dozens of livestream breakout sessions, virtual exhibit booths, an autism resources bookstore, and Temple Grandin as a keynote speaker.

Join us at the Circles of Life Conference- This year’s Circles of Life Conference will be virtual May 6-7, 2021. Circles of Life is Wisconsin’s annual conference for families who have children with disabilities and the providers and other professionals who support them. Free for Families. Transition teachers- have your whole class attend! This can be a great opportunity for transition classes to join us for sessions during the day. Some of the one-hour workshops that might be of interest include Keynoter Matt Glowacki’s breakout as well as sessions on employment, health care and health transition, identity theft, accessible theater, dating, as well as several self-help related sessions. Teen Hangout May 6, 6:00 -7:00 PM. Teens can join us for chat and activities at the end of the day. All teens participating in the conference are encouraged to attend and connect. The Teen Hangout is sponsored by and facilitated by members of the Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin but all teens are encouraged to attend.

This year’s topic: Anxiety & ASD/DD: What we know and what we can do about it

Presentation topics include general information on anxiety and ASD/DD, anxiety in schools, suicide and a personal story.

Register at go.wisc.edu/copmarch2020. You will choose your site when you register. CEU’s are being offered by the University of Wisconsin Superior Center for Continuing Education at cvent.me/9a3vAk. There is a fee associated with CEUs and they are only available for people who attend and sign-in at a host site.
