Tuesday, August 10, 2021: come when you can or stay for “Did You Know? Now You Know!” – explains resources and services for children with disabilities and special health care needs from birth through young adulthood. Learn about health insurance and how to best use your benefits, Medicaid, and long-term supports. Topics include Medicaid, Children’s Long-Term Supports, prior authorizations and appealing a Medicaid denial, respite, partnering with your doctor, and more.  A recording of the full training is also on the Family Voices of Wisconsin website here

Thursday, August 19, 2021: come when you can or attend the C.A.R.E. Series workshops– Assembling a Care Notebook and Exploring Care Mapping. Assembling a Care Notebook is a short session on how to create a ready resource that contains pertinent information for your child and their caretakers. Exploring Care Mapping lets you design a care map for your family which will serve to show others at a glance all of the people and resources supporting your child’s development.

We will have all these events in open-air pavilions with plenty of space to social distance and COVID-19 precautions appreciated. Everyone is welcome but registration for training is appreciated. Gas cards are available for mileage reimbursement if you pre-register. We will need insurance information and you will need to fill out a very brief scholarship form. You can register here.
